Edmund P. "Ted" Williams, IV, MD

Psychiatrist, Dr. Ted Williams, founder of Genesis Psychiatric Center in 2002, has grown his clinic to one where patients find cutting edge, compassionate, and comprehensive ‘whole-person’ psychiatric treatment in a warm, professional setting. Dr. Williams began his medical career in Family Medicine – not Psychiatry – which may be one reason why he and his clinic maintain a perspective of mental health treatment in the context of ‘family,’ and of you as a ‘whole person’ (one’s overall mental, physical, and spiritual health).

Dr. Williams holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor position with the Department of Psychiatry, in the School of Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSCSA). Residents and medical students from Psychiatry as well as Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner students from UTHSCSA participate in an approved elective clinical out-patient rotation at Genesis Psychiatric Center under the direction of Dr. Williams.

What Our Patients Are Saying

When I began treatment, I was skeptical about it working. But Dr. Williams was so enthusiastic, I thought I would give it a try. I noticed after 15 treatments, I was handling my anxiety better. My anxiety seemed to be rolling off of me. I had been taking meds for over 20 years, and the meds stopped working. Since my husband passed away 3 years ago, I felt like my life was over. The only thing that kept me going were my Grandkids. I would enjoy them as much as I could enjoy anything. Since the treatments, I have felt like clouds receding, and layers of heaviness were coming off me. I started to have motivation to do things around my house, and going places. I am still a little bit reclusive, but I am starting to have this feeling that I am able to open up, and talk to people. The numbers on my evaluation sheet have diminished. I would highly recommend this treatment, if you have been chronically depressed and feeling meds are not working. I can definitely feel this TMS working. My daughter in-law says she can also hear it in my voice. Not to mention that the treatments are helping me deal with my grief as well.
